The story of Leah Nguyen Oliva & her family’s escape from communism and resettlement in the area. Illustrated by Marianna Hernandez, a young local artist, the children’s book contains the story of two cousins and their journey here. It chronicles their family’s courage in leaving Vietnam to be able to practice their religion, live in freedom and contribute to their new county through hard work, their faith, and families.
